Removal
  1. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  2. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to: Audio Unit (415-01 Audio Unit, Removal and Installation).

    Remove the heater function selector switch.
      • Remove the 4 Torx screws.
      • Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.

    Remove the transmission selector lever mount bracket.
      • Disconnect the electrical connector.
      • Remove the 8 bolts.

    Remove the transmission selector lever.
      • Remove the clip.
      • Release the cable.

    Remove the instrument panel center reinforcement trim panel.
      • Release the 3 clips.
      • Repeat the above procedure for the other side.

    Remove the center face level vent.
      • Remove the 2 Torx screws.
      • Repeat the above procedure for the other side.
  8. Release the instrument panel center reinforcement.
      • Remove the 14 Torx screws.

    Remove the instrument panel center reinforcement.
      • Release the 2 clips.
      • Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
  10. NOTE:

    Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

    Remove the heater duct.
      • Remove the 2 clips.
Installation
  1. Attach the heater duct.
      • Install the clips.
  2. Install the instrument panel center reinforcement.
      • Install the Torx screws.
      • Secure the clips.
      • Secure the wiring harnesses.
  3. Install the center face level vents.
      • Tighten the Torx screws.
  4. Install the instrument panel center reinforcement trim panels.
      • Secure the clips.
  5. Install the transmission selector lever.
      • Attach the cable.
      • Install the clip.
  6. Install the transmission selector lever mount bracket.
      • Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
      • Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Install the function selector switch.
      • Connect the electrical connectors.
      • Tighten the Torx screws.
  8. Install the audio unit. For additional information, refer to: Audio Unit (415-01 Audio Unit, Removal and Installation).
  9. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
