Battery, Mounting and Cables

Battery Tray (G300823)

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Removal
  1. Remove the battery. For additional information, refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  2. E45817
    Remove the engine compartment upper heat shield.
      • Remove the screw.
      • Release the 2 clips.
  3. E46326
    Remove the battery compartment side wall.
      • Release the battery positive cable and grommet.
      • Release the four clips.
  4. E63132
    Release the heater pipes.
      • Remove the retaining screw.
  5. E46327
    Remove the battery tray.
      • Remove the three retaining nuts.
Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
      • Tighten the nuts to 12 Nm (9 lb.ft).
