Removal
  1. WARNING:

    Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the muffler assembly. For additional information, refer to: Muffler (309-00B Exhaust System - V8 N/A 4.4L Petrol, Removal and Installation).
  3. Remove the evaporative emissions canister. For additional information, refer to: Evaporative Emission Canister (303-13B Evaporative Emissions - V8 N/A 4.4L Petrol, Removal and Installation).
  4. Remove the air suspension compressor. For additional information, refer to: Air Suspension Compressor (204-05 Vehicle Dynamic Suspension, Removal and Installation).

    Remove the air suspension compressor upper cover.
  6. Disconnect the air suspension intake filter pipe.
  7. E54145
    Remove the air suspension muffler.
      • Release clip from the air suspension muffler pipe.
      • Release the air suspension compressor to air suspension silencer pipes.
Installation
  1. Install the air suspension muffler.
      • Locate the air suspension muffler pipes.
      • Secure the clip.
  2. Connect the air suspension intake filter.
  3. CAUTION:

    Make sure the air suspension compressor upper cover is correctly positioned.

    Install the air suspension compressor upper cover.
  4. Install the air suspension compressor. For additional information, refer to: Air Suspension Compressor (204-05 Vehicle Dynamic Suspension, Removal and Installation).
  5. Install the evaporative emissions canister. For additional information, refer to: Evaporative Emission Canister (303-13B Evaporative Emissions - V8 N/A 4.4L Petrol, Removal and Installation).
  6. Install the muffler assembly. For additional information, refer to: Muffler (309-00B Exhaust System - V8 N/A 4.4L Petrol, Removal and Installation).
