REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal
  1. WARNING:

    Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire.
  3. Remove and discard the bolt. Disconnect the toe link.
  4. E47523
    Remove and discard the nut. Remove the toe link.
Installation
  1. CAUTION:

    Make sure the toe link anti-rotation tang is fully seated in the integrated body frame before tightening the toe link retaining nut. Failure to follow this instruction will result in damage to the toe link or integrated body frame.

    Install the toe link. Install a new nut and lightly tighten.
    Renew Part: Toe link nut Quantity: 1.
  2. Connect the toe link. Using a M14 x 2 tap, clean the threads of the knuckle fixing hole. Blow out debris with an air-line. Tighten the new bolt.
    Renew Part: Toe link to knuckle bolt(s) Quantity: 1.
    Torque
    Stage 1: 70Nm
    Stage 2: 90°
  3. E47524
    Set the gap, between the underside of the toe link rubber boot and the integrated body frame bracket, to 15 mm (0.590 in). Tighten the toe link inner ball joint retaining nut.
    Torque: 133Nm
  4. Install the wheel and tire. Tighten the wheel nuts.
    Torque: 140Nm
  5. Carry out the wheel alignment procedure.
